Sons and daughters….. I am pleased to congratulate you in particular on the first academic year of your life. I also praise your choice of the profession and studying at Horus University, where attention is paid to providing a distinguished educational environment, and applying quality standards in selecting leaders, faculty members, employees, and distinguished resources and equipments.
Horus University – Egypt is one of the smart, technologically advanced universities that, since its inception, has been greatly concerned to develop faculties and programs that keep pace with the rapid development in labor market needs, and Egypt’s interest in the technological sector as it is the cornerstone for keeping pace with technological developments in the medical field, and the rapid development of health informatics.
Horus University – Egypt, which was established by Resolution No. 119 of 2013, was distinguished by the establishment of many faculties in the medical sector. Therefore, the university decided to establish a faculty that would serve the health sector. The faculty’s specializations combine theoretical aspects and training in laboratories, hospitals, and centers, enabling students to translate academic achievement into applied practical practice in hospitals, in order to meet the community’s need for qualified health personnel in various therapeutic and preventive fields to keep pace with the level of developed healthcare service and cope with the level of scientific and technical progress in health fields.
As you move from the secondary stage to the university stage, during which we wish you continued excellence and advancement, you are going through an important transition phase. You move from a phase characterized by control, supervision, and guidance at home and school, to a phase in which you are given greater freedom, and this freedom must be accompanied by a greater sense of responsibility in order to achieve the desired goal of developing your abilities to communicate and create. You will find that the role of the faculty is not to teach you the available information, as this information is always changing at an accelerated rate. But, the role of the faculty is to provide you with the skills to search for information and adapt it to benefit from it, to provide you with professional skills and the ability to think critically, work in a team, be a decision-maker, and create the opportunities necessary to compete in the labor market and to acquire knowledge throughout your extended and successful working life, God willing.
I also cannot fail to invite you to set your feet on the first path of correct positive social practice through your participation in choosing your representatives, and practicing the cultural, sports, and recreational activities necessary to build an integrated personality.
