Study System

Language of Study

The language of study is English (however, the Faculty Council may approve the teaching of some courses in Arabic).

Duration of Study

The duration of study for a regular student is four levels, consisting of eight main semesters, as per the program. The bachelor’s degree will only be awarded upon successful completion. The Faculty Council may open a summer semester lasting 9 weeks, including registration and exams.

Study System

The study follows the credit hour system, and the teaching hours are calculated as follows:

  • One credit hour is equivalent to one lecture hour.
  • One credit hour is equivalent to two practical hours.
  • One credit hour is equivalent to three to four hours of applied work / field training.

A student must complete 128 credit hours, distributed as follows:

  • 10 credit hours for university requirements.
  • 30 credit hours for Faculty requirements.
  • 88 credit hours for mandatory and elective program-specific requirements.

Specialization begins in the second level, according to the regulations and criteria set by the Faculty Council and approved by the University Council.

Course Distribution Throughout the Study Duration:

  • Level 1: Includes general faculty courses, taught to all students across the programs.
  • Levels 2, 3, and 4: Include specialized courses for each program. Students are assigned to programs based on the criteria set annually by the Faculty Council and approved by the University Council.
